I’ve had the distinct privilege of being a a life-long friend of John from earliest memories of childhood and throughout his career as an artist. I’ve also had the pleasure of observing his maturation of an artist seeking to find the media and form that best enables the expression of his beliefs. He lives art in a very pure and selfless way; and in this artist’s opinion, his work has always left one with the question “what is man’s (my) purpose in life on Earth and beyond – and who do we think we (man) are – stewards of the Earth or the abject poison of self-will (man’s will) run riot?”

ALL I GOTTA SAY ABOUT THIS IS THAT I WISH I WAS INVITED TO PERFORM….I KNOW I GOT LYRICS ALL DAY…BUT THE PROBLEM IS PPL DONT LISTEN BUT BESIDES THAT IT ALSO SUCKS THAT IT JUST SO HAPPENS THAT IM HOSTING MY OWN EVENT THE TRI STATE ARTIST AWARD SHOW WHICH I WANTED YALL TO BE A PART OF TOO THE SAME DAY AND HAD NO IDEA THIS WAS GONE TO GO DOWN…..I CANT RETRACT NOW AND THE SHOW MUST GO ON BUT IT SUCKS THAT I UNFORTUNATELY CANNOT BE AT BOTH SHOWS AS MUCH AS I WULD LUV TO GO TO BOTH…….THIS ANGERS ME!! LOL…..BUT I HOPE THE SHOW IS A SUCCESS AS IM SURE IT WILL BE AND WE WIOLL BE BANGIN TILL BOUT 330 IN THE AM SO COME SEE US TOO!!!!! Somebody who fought for their dreams and gave it their all, regardless of circumstance. Somebody who was a voice for the under dogs and Havenotz, and anyone else that didn’t have one.

Pete Rock is a legend.

I remember waaaaaaaaay back in 94-95′ driving on rt 13 here in DE and seeing Pete Rock in a gold Lexus coupe with the gold kit. He was on the opposite side and he had a newsboy cap on. I freaked out like I just saw a Ferrari and cheered “yeaaaaah! that’s Pete Rock!!!!” the girls I was with were like “who’s that?”
